Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Dining establishments galore can be found in West Aspen. Start with a visit to Mawa's Kitchen, located within the Aspen Airport Business Center. This restaurant is favored for its delicious pastries, pancakes, waffles, and French toast, though it also provides healthier alternatives such as its granola parfait bowl and smashed avocado bagel. You can also come for lunch and get salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches, and Mediterranean dips served with warm pita bread.

Embrace the elegance at Velvet Buck. This European-inspired restaurant is located in the St. Regis Hotel. They offer an elaborate breakfast buffet, and you can choose the right juice concoction for you, such as strawberry mango, green, fresh pressed orange, or an antioxidant or detoxifying blend. You can also enjoy a dinner with charcuterie, bread service, octopus, meatballs, monkfish, or lobster croquettes.

Things to Do

The Aspen Recreation Center provides an excellent space for swimming. There is a full aquatic center with a water slide, aqua climbing wall, lazy river, hot tub, and lap pool. That's not all, either. This center also offers a climbing tower, batting cage, and an ice arena. When you want to enjoy indoor fun, this is a great place to do just that.

The Maroon Creek Club requires a membership. If you get one, you gain access to some of the best fine dining in the area and a golf course set to a beautiful backdrop of mountain views and lots of green space. The gorgeous sight is exclusive and waiting for you to join.

Of course, you can't leave skiing opportunities off the list. Aspen Highlands Ski Resort is located here for some of the best slopes around. They tend to open in mid-December and provide access to the rugged terrain through early April.
