Red Mountain

Red Mountain is a gorgeous mountain peak in Colorado. It's also been dubbed "Billionaire Mountain" because of the impressive properties that reside nearby. The community is located within Aspen, known to many as a ski resort town with much to offer. Living here provides breathtaking views and ample opportunities to enjoy tranquility outdoors.

While many head into Aspen for a bite, Woody Creek Tavern to the northwest of Red Mountain is another popular choice. This bar and grill is beloved by locals. Their menu specifies that the appetizers are big and intended for sharing. Onion rings, nachos, fresh guacamole, salsa and chips, and chicken or vegetarian chorizo flautas are a few of their selections. 

 

You'll also want to visit the Aspen Airport Business Center, where several dining choices are located. Mawa's Kitchen is a crowd favorite for breakfast. Feast on warm banana bread, a butternut croissant, Belgium waffles, or brioche French toast. They also have some pleasing lunch starters like their truffled Yuca fries, creamy Greek hummus, and a variety of Mediterranean dips served with pita bread or tortilla chips.

 

The eponymous Red Mountain provides the town’s serene natural backdrop. Hikers go to the top to experience delightful views of downtown Aspen. You can also tour Red Mountain Town, a thriving 19th-century mining town that fell into disrepair.

 

Wilton Jaffee Sr. Park gives you access to the water and is an ideal place for fishing. The park comprises smaller hills where you hike or bike in summer or sled in winter. 

 

Aspen Motorsports Park in Woody Creek offers a unique take on country clubs. Become a member to gain access to the full-service facility. Special celebrity events sometimes occur here, along with member races, corporate driving, go-karting, and other activities. There is a road course, off-road course, dirt bike course, and kart tracks to keep everything separate and fun for all who use the tracks here.
