A charming mountain town with an urban/suburban feel

Welcome to Snowmass Village

Sitting directly west of Aspen, Snowmass Village is another popular ski town in Colorado. You will predominantly find mountainside escapes and luxury homes that span several stories and offer open spaces. There is both an urban and suburban feel to the community. It’s equally easy to stay active, be entertained, and find solace amid natural beauty.

  • Ski resort encompassing four mountains
  • A wide assortment of hiking and other outdoor recreation
  • Plenty of established eateries and upscale restaurants

Local Lifestyle

The suburban and urban feel of Snowmass Village ensures an equal mixture of respite and adventure. You can enjoy cocoa by the fireplace just as easily as you can find a mountain to ski as the cold air invigorates you. There is never a shortage of things to do in town and nearby.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Numerous dining establishments fill the area to give you a mixture of fine dining and casual experiences. Up 4 Pizza is a favored option when your cravings hit. You'll find it atop the Big Burn lift when it's in operation during ski season. It's generally open between the end of November and the beginning to the middle of April. Their hot cookies fresh out of the oven are the most talked about.

When you're in the mood for American comfort foods, The Stew Pot is a popular choice in town. It's the oldest restaurant in Snowmass and is well-loved for sandwiches, soups, and stews. Select the “choice of the day” or pick from their menu. The primary offerings are beef chili, veggie chili, and old-fashioned beef stew.

Snowmass Mall and The Snowmass Center are two of the established shopping areas in town. Numerous shops and restaurants fill the spaces to provide ample opportunities to find what you're looking for. The town's supermarket and post office are located within the Center, and redevelopment plans intend to keep the space fresh with new businesses incoming.

Things to Do

The Snowmass Village Recreation Center is ideal for non-skiing activities. The facility spans 18,000 square feet and provides space for swimming, bouldering, volleyball, fitness, and sports. There is also a skate park and miles of walking trails. It's a year-round option for exercise and recreation.

Snowmass Skiing is a ski area with four expansive spots to traverse. You can head out independently or receive lessons to improve your skills. There is also a variety of on-mountain dining choices for your enjoyment. The separate ski areas are spread between Snowmass Village and Aspen.

Visit Elk Camp for a delicious meal while marveling at the picturesque views surrounding you. The restaurant’s organic offerings include warm soups, and the fireplace is perfect for warming up during cool weather. Reachable by gondola, Elk Camp comes alive on its signature Ullr Nights, when the community gathers for tubing, snow biking, s’mores, and a bonfire.
